VIDALIA — A North Carolina man has been arrested in Vidalia on a charge of molestation.

Brian N. Helton, 32, 5709 Melinda Ave., East Bend, N.C., was charged by the Vidalia Police Department Thursday with molestation of a juvenile.

VPD Public Information Officer Capt. Frankie Carroll said Friday he would not release any information as the crime is still under investigation.

Helton was also indicted this week in Adams County on a charge of touching a child for lustful purposes.

Helton was being held in jail Friday afternoon with no bond.
