Gussie Pearl Dudley

NATCHEZ — Services for Gussie Pearl Dudley, 94, of Hattiesburg, formerly of Natchez,, who died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Pinehaven Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Dudley was a teacher’s aide in the Natchez public school system for a number of years. She loved serving others through her church, Grace United Methodist, where she was involved in a number of organizations. Her greatest enjoyment was traveling with her husband, fishing in Lake St. John, sewing for her grandchildren and crocheting. She was a steadfast and loyal friend to many who loved with not only her heart, but in her action.
Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by her husband, Walton R. Dudley; one son, Wesley Randolph Dudley; one granddaughter, Jade Elizabeth Vaughan; and six siblings, Frances McCraken, Charlie Ruth Higgenbotham, Annette Best, Jutanita Wright, Carl C. McCracken and Susie White.
Survivors include three sons, Charles R. Dudley and wife, Katie, of Hattiesburg, L. Ray Dudley and wife, Beverly, of Mize and Dewayne R. Dudley and wife, Emily, of Newellton, La.; three sisters, Virginia Tucker, Willie Mae Barwick and Mary Johnson, all of Georgia; seven grandchildren, Melissa L. Vaughan and husband, Kevin, Clark R. Dudley and wife, Kimberly, Shane R. Dudley and wife, Ashley, Aimee R. Foster and husband, Kris, Bo R. Dudley, Kenneth Ray Dudley and Kimberly Fabre and husband, Ryan; and 12 great-grandchildren, Morgan A. Vaughan, Kevin A. Vaughan III, Dylan R. Dudley, Emery R. Dudley, Kaitlyn R. Dudley, Caleb R. Dudley, Laila R. Dudley, Brayden R. Dudley, Addyson R. Foster, Avery R. Foster, Ainsley R. Foster and Elizabeth A. Fabre.
The family of Mrs. Dudley would like to thank Wesley Manor Retirement Center, Bedford Care Center and Hattiesburg Health and Rehab, of Hattiesburg, all who cared lovingly for Mrs. Dudley.
Special thanks is extended to the Cornerstone ladies from Grace Temple Church who faithfully visited her.
