At 0-2 in MHSAA Region 7-3A, the Franklin County High School Bulldogs are in need of a win.
Franklin County, however, will have another tough opponent on its hands when it travels to Port Gibson to take on the Port Gibson High School Blue Waves Friday night. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs (2-6 overall) lost at No. 1 Hazlehurst 44-7 last week, while the Blues Waves (4-3, 1-1) defeated Wesson 34-13.
“They’re really athletic. Their quarterback (sophomore D’Marious Hicks) is really talented,” Franklin County head coach Trey Woodard said. “Their defense is fast. They’re small, but they play fast.”
Woodard said the keys to success for his team to are to move the ball down the field and not turn the ball over.
Turnovers are an area that has plagued the Bulldogs all season long, Woodard said.
