NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was arrested Wednesday for reportedly stabbing another man twice last week outside Daisy Street Grocery.

Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said Antonio J. Johnson, 32, 22 Henderson St., was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Ford said Johnson and the victim had an ongoing dispute and Johnson reportedly spotted the victim riding in a vehicle shortly before the incident. Once the victim went inside Daisy Street Grocery, Johnson was reportedly waiting outside for the victim.

Police believe the two men started arguing, which led into a physical fight, during which Johnson reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim twice in his left side, piercing his liver, Ford said.

Johnson is being held in the Natchez City Jail on a $100,000 bond.
