NEW ROADS, La. — Services for Kathy Ashcraft, 52, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at her residence, will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Niland’s Funeral Home Chapel in New Roads, La., with Joe Holmes officiating.
Burial will follow at False River Memorial Park under the direction of Niland’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ashcraft was a native of Farmerville, La., and a former resident of Pointe Coupee Parish. She had lived in Natchez for the past two years.
Mrs. Ashcraft was a wonderful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, “Nana Kat,” who enjoyed cooking and sewing.
She was a member of Pointe Coupee Fire District 3 and Mustard-Senning Survivors Support Group.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Delbert Ashcraft and stepfather, Roy Ennis.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Jody Ashcraft; her parents, Jimmie Coats of Farmerville, La., and Mary Dunn of Jena, La.; two daughters, Nicole Coats of Missouri and Ashley Kegarise of Texas; three sons, Michael Ashcraft and girlfriend, Mallorie Kennon, of Pointe Coupee, Zack Ashcraft and wife, Kristina, of Natchez and Joseph Ashcraft Jr. and girlfriend, Amanda Nagim, of St. Landry Parish, La.; two sisters, Sonia Calloway of Cleveland, Texas and Julia Roberts of West Monroe, La.; two brothers, Lynn Coats and Jim Coats, both of Farmerville; and eight grandchildren, Wesley Coats, Christopher Talley, Jason Talley, Cameron Talley, Michael Patrick Ashcraft, Jasmine Ashcraft, Hunter Kegarise and Skylar Ashcraft.
Pallbearers will be Michael Stelly, Tait Slocum, Rodney Higginbottom, Gil Vallion, Randall McKenzie and Gordon Chustz.
Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
