Ms. Jamison was born on Dec. 6, 1946, in Natchez, the daughter of Amos Newman and Clara E. Newman.
She was an extraordinary momma, Maw Maw, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and as most people called her the “sweetest person” they ever met. She was a Christian who believed in God. She lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face regardless of the circumstances. She loved to make people laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was also a very charitable person to a number of causes and would give the shirt off of her back or the last penny in her pocket to anyone that needed it.
Her passion was spending time with her family and watching her grandbabies grow. She enjoyed helping others and spending time in her flower beds. She was an animal lover and never turned any stray away. She was a one of a kind and we were blessed to have her in our lives and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and many others.

Jamison and Ed Jamison and wife, Melissa; one daughter, Elisa Carr and her loving son-in-law, Bill; four grandchildren, Morgan and Shane Carr, Tabitha Rogers and husband, Whitney, and Taylor Jamison; one brother, Eugene Newman and wife, Glennell; five sisters, Ida Mae Coley and husband, William, Nancy L. Day, Sandria Stevens, Carolyn D. Weathersby and Marilyn Liebig and husband Greg; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
