Natchez’s latest 15 minutes of fame is coming in 30-minute television blocks.

Several residents are featured in a series of interviews by award-winning cartoonist-turned interviewer Marshall Ramsey on Mississippi Public Broadcast.

The show, Conversations, will feature Jennifer Ogden Combs, Charles Wright, Regina Charboneau, Glen Ballard and Chesney Doyle.

Each of those is such a talented individual in his or her own right.

Collectively, they represent just a tiny piece of Natchez’s amazingly rich and vibrant fabric.

No other corner of Mississippi is as unique as ours.

Is that a bit boastful?

Yes, it is.

But Natchez is unique, both in Mississippi and in the entire country.

We are thankful for the people such as the five featured in the MPB series as well as the countless others who represent Natchez so well both here at home and all across the country as they travel.

Natchez is special and not just because we’re celebrating our 300th anniversary this year, though the milestone is pretty special on its own.

Let’s all watch the MPB shows and enjoy a little bit of Natchez’s limelight, since the best thing about Natchez is its diverse population.
