NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was hospitalized Monday in Jackson after being stabbed Sunday evening in the area of Daisy Street Grocery.
Natchez Police Detective Jerry Ford said police were notified of the stabbing when the victim was treated for at least one stab wound to his left side.
Initial reports were that the victim had been stabbed twice, but Ford said he has not been able to confirm how many stab wounds the victim suffered.
The victim was airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and was in stable condition, Ford said.
The victim was reportedly stabbed during a fight near Daisy Street Grocery, but police know little about the assailant, Ford said.
