FERRIDAY — Services for Lorraine C. Waller, 86, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Pointe Coupee Healthcare in New Roads, La., will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Bobby Mulvihill officiating.
Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, La., under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waller was born April 23, 1930, in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of John Lawrence Chester and Thelma Lorraine Mitchell Chester.
She was a lifelong resident of Concordia Parish, but lived the last few years in Pointe Coupee Parish close to her daughter.
Mrs. Waller was an avid reader. She loved puzzle books. She loved her family and having company. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Waller was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Eugene Waller; her parents; one sister, Beverly McGinnis; and two brothers, Kenneth Chester and Larry Chester.
Survivors include Eugene Waller and wife, Karen, and Robert Waller, all of Heber Springs, Ark., Wayne Waller and wife, Angie, of Natchez, Cheryl Garon and husband, Joey, of Jarreau, La., and Scott Waller and wife, Melanie of Brookhaven; nine grandchildren, Mandy Hancock and husband, Jim Bob, Tasha Waller, Tracy Carroll, Amy Graves, Kyle Waller, JoAnna Waller, Jordan Waller, Drew Waller and Lori Waller; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Drew Waller, Andy Partridge, Kyle Waller, Gary Waller, Robert Yackey, Bobby Mulvihill and Chad Smith.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Cupit.
