ACCS routs St. Aloysius on homecoming, 50-32

Even though Adams County Christian School put up half a hundred points on St. Aloysius Friday night, Rebels head coach David King was not pleased with the team’s effort in a 50-32 homecoming win.
“If I didn’t have my (older) daughter’s sorority bill to pay for and my younger daughter’s braces to pay for, I would personally refund everyone their money back for the way we played tonight,” King said.
He may have been referring to a defense that allowed 221 passing yards and four touchdown passes, three of them by Antonio Thompson. And that was the same defense that forced four turnovers.
Julian Wilson had nine carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns while George Scott had 101 yards of total offense and two touchdowns.
DyKevis Ford picked off a Connor Bottin pass and returned it 65 yards for a touchdown nearly midway through the first quarter. He also scored on a 70-yard run with 1:54 remaining.
ACCS (4-2) returns to MAIS District 4-AAA play at 7 p.m. Friday when it hosts No. 2 Columbia Academy.
