WCCA set to host undefeated Prairie View

Coming off a come-from-behind win over what was a ranked team in a higher classification on the road is one thing. Trying to back that up with a win over good team that is undefeated on homecoming week is another.
That is the challenge Wilkinson County Christian Academy faces this week. After defeating Central Hinds Academy last week, then ranked No. 4 in Class AAA, 32-31, the Rams now play host to the Prairie View Academy Spartans at 7 p.m. Friday.
Prairie View enters perfect on the year at 3-0.
“It’s a good challenge,” WCCA coach Chris McGraw said. “They were undefeated last season when we went to their place and beat them. So I know they’ll want revenge.”
Offensively, Prairie View uses the triple option. McGraw said the Spartans are very organized at what they do offensively and run a 4-3 defense.
McGraw said the key match-up will be the Rams’ defense against the Spartans’ offense.
He said the keys to success defensively will be the play of Hutch Holden, Hunter Burgess and Cole Boyd, and offensively it will come down to its line.
“They’re going to be a major part in our assignments,” McGraw said.
