WCCA looks to rebound

For the second straight week, Wilkinson County Christian Academy will play a team from MAIS Class AAA as the Rams will travel to Raymond to face the fourth-ranked Central Hinds Academy Cougars.
Kickoff for Friday night is set for 7 p.m.
Last week, WCCA was defeated by Adams County Christian School 38-16.
WCCA head coach Christopher McGraw said the key match-up will be if his team will be able to hold up against a deep Cougars squad.
“We have a lot of bumps and bruises. We have two starters out. I don’t know if we have enough depth,” McGraw said.
The Rams offense will face a Cougars defense that has given up just 20 points in its first four games, while the defense will have to contain Central Hinds’ spread offense.
“They have a lot of skill and a lot of depthm and hey have over 40 players,” McGraw said.
McGraw said the keys for his squad are to protect the ball and tackle better than it did last week.
