Centreville rallies past Bowling Green

A four-run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning, sparked by eighth grader Emily Roberts, lifted Centreville Academy over Bowling Green School Monday.
“It was aback a forth,” head coach Robert Bordelon said. “Both teams were waiting on the big hit and we finally got it … I could even give a game ball out be cause everybody made big plays.”
Down 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, the Centreville underclassman roped a pitch-hit single to start the rally that led to a four-run fifth inning.
Riley Allen pitched all seven inning for Centreville, allowing one earned run.
Centreville is set to face Parklane at 7 p.m. today.
