NATCHEZ — Memorial services to celebrate the life of Freddie Conway “Connie” Roberts, 79, who died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. today at Trace City Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Roberts was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Newport, Ark., the son of Ed and Effie Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Roberts; one daughter, Teresa Roberts January; one son, Buddy Roberts; his parents; and three brothers, Wayne Roberts, Troy Roberts Jr. and Tobe Roberts.

Survivors include one grandson, Bryan Betts and wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Adalyn, and three brothers, Burl, Bill and Danny, and their families.
