FAYETTE — Services for John C. Strittman, 78, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 10 a.m. today at Community Methodist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Aaron Lamb officiating.

Burial will follow at Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Strittman was born July 10, 1938, in Jefferson County, the son of Charles W. and Mamie Agnes Strittman.

He was a member of Community Methodist Church. He also a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Strittman was preceded in death by her wife, Leila B. Strittman; his parents; and one sister, Marie Strittman Hodge.

Survivors include four sons, Charles Strittman of Fayette, Dallas Strittman and wife, Alicia, Craig Strittman and wife, Nancy, all of Meadville, and John Strittman and wife, Myrna, of Denver; three grandchildren, Brice Strittman, Emily Strittman and Camerson Strittman, all of Meadville; one sister, Patricia Starnes and husband, Robert, of Port Gibson; three brothers, Roger Strittman and wife, Valire, of Fayette, Don Strittman and wife, Martha, of Jackson and Dean Strittman and wife, Sherry, of Lorman.

Pallbearers will be David Strittman, Donny Strittman, Brice Strittman, Greely Williams, Riley Carson and Jack Hodge.
