Adams County Christian School Brianna Henson struck out 15 batters to cap off a 3-0 win against Columbia Academy Tuesday.

The game was originally Aug. 15, but only lasted 3 1/2 innings because of rain.

Henson brought a no-hitter into Tuesday’s action and managed to finish it off.

In Game 2, Columbia scored a pair of runs in the third and fifth innings en route to topping ACCS, 5-3.

“We came out and finished the first game strong,” ACCS coach Tate Lipscomb said. “In the second game, we just couldn’t get the timely hit.”

The Lady Rebels (9-7, 5-2) scored their runs in the third, sixth and seventh innings.

Henson and Shelby Mason combined to strike out six batters in the game, allowing just four hits.

Anna McDaniel smacked a triple for the Lady Rebels.

ACCS will be back in action today when it travels to Amite School Center.
