NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Barney Roland Brashier, 86, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be noon Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Burial will follow under the direction Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Brashier was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Wayne County, the son of William Houston Brashier and Gurchia Herrington Brashier.

Mr. Brashier was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Ferriday.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise Brashier; his parents; and one sister, Gwendolyn Brashier.

Survivors include two brothers: William E. Brashier of Natchez and Sidney “Joe” L. Brashier of Laurel; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Clark, Julius Brashier, Paul Brashier, Gene Brashier, Jack Melton and Haden Samuel Brashier.
