Traffic stop leads to 5 arrests associated with drugs

VIDALIA — A traffic stop early Monday morning led to the arrest of five Miss-Lou individuals connected with drug use in the presence of three minors.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped Jennifer Brandenburg, 34, 1651 Camillia St., for driving without a license plate light and erratic driving, CPSO spokesman Vernon Stevens said.
Deputies went to the Brandenburg’s residence in an attempt to locate the vehicle’s owner and upon entering drug paraphernalia was visible in plain sight, Stevens said.
After getting permission to search the residence, deputies reportedly discovered a small amount of methamphetamine and Adderall found loose in a package, deputies reported.
Four adults were also in the residents: Katrina McKeone, 21, 1651 Camillia St., Natasha King, 29, 19 Pritchard Lane, Natchez, Richard H. Keith Jr., 37, 138 Bilbo Road, Jonesville, and Christian C. Wilson, 19, 341 Mimosa Drive, Ridgecrest. Three minors were also in the house, Stevens said.
The minor children were turned over to the custody of a grandmother.
Brandenburg was arrested on charges of driving without taillights, driving with an expired driver’s license, illegal use of controlled substances in presence of person under 17, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts possession of schedule II drugs.
McKeone, King, Keith and Wilson were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal use of controlled substances in presence of a person under 17 and two counts possession of schedule II drugs.
Brandenburg, McKeone, King, Keith and Wilson were in jail Monday afternoon with no bond set.
