ACCS stays unbeaten in district

Adams County Christian School used a four-run rally in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a tie ball game as the Lady Rebels defeated the Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars 6-3 Monday afternoon in MAIS District 4-AAA action.
“We finally came around and started hitting the ball. We put the pressure on them,” ACCS head coach Tate Lipscomb said.
The Lady Rebels scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 2-1 lead before Brookhaven Academy tied the game in the top of the fourth.
Shelby Mason picked up the win and Brianna Henson got the save. Mason allowed two runs on four hits and struck out three in four innings. Henson gave up one run on one hit and struck out four in three innings.
ACCS (8-5, 4-0) plays at Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. today.
