VIDALIA — A Vidalia teenager is being charged as an adult in connection with two Tuesday shooting deaths on Ralph’s Road.
Ladarious R. Jackson, 16, 115 Doyle Road, was adjudicated Wednesday with a bond set at $1 million, Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick said. He was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for allegedly shooting and killing Tyvon Hawkins and Raylon Hawkins.
A group of individuals were reportedly arguing at the Country Estates Trailer Park on Ralph’s Road at approximately 4:40 p.m. Tuesday when a gun was pulled out. Two people were killed in gunfire that followed.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office officials have not released details about the shooting, claiming making the information public could impact the ongoing investigation.
Vidalia Police Department is assisting in the investigation.
Jackson was in jail Thursday evening.
