FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Mary Angela Rachel, 65, of Ferriday, who died peacefully Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, in Houston, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Doty Road Church of God, 1604 Third Street in Ferriday. 

Arrangements were under the direction of Anointed Hands Funeral Home in Houston.

Mrs. Rachel was born June 10, 1951, in Pineville, La., the daughter of Nathan Roberts Sr. and Mary Lee Coutee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Anthony Rachel; two daughters, Monay Gullage and Adelice Davis; eight grandchildren, Demoi Gullage, Madiana Gullage, Benet Gullage, Briton Gullage, Dylaney Gullage, Blaise Gullage, Anjelle Davis and Amra Davis; one sister, Janet Sarpy; five brothers, Nathan Roberts Jr., Peter Sarpy, Michael Sarpy, Mack LaCour, Roy Coutee; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
