Trial set Tuesday for man accused of killing uncle with ax

VICKSBURG(AP) — Jury selection is scheduled Tuesday in the trial of a Vicksburg man accused of killing his uncle by hitting him in the neck with an ax.

The Vicksburg Post reports that 35-year-old Joseph Patton is charged with murder of 62-year-old Alfred Patton, known as Pete.

The family found Alfred Patton’s body at his mobile home in September 2015.

Joseph Patton was arrested in February. He has remained in the Warren County Jail without bond.
