NATCHEZ — For the second time, a mistrial has been declared in the murder trial against Eddie Minor III for the December 2014 shooting death of Jessie E. Taylor. The jury, however, did find Minor guilty of armed robbery.
Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson sentenced Minor to 35 years in prison.
A hung jury was also declared in Minor’s initial trial last year.
Minor was accused of robbing and subsequently shooting and killing 16-year-old Taylor on Dec. 29, 2014, in concert with his co-defendant, Emanuel C. Latham, who is to be tried at a later date.
