VIDALIA — Services for Frank “Cricket” Warner, 84, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Riverland Medical Center, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Leon Dixon officiating.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Warner was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Vidalia, the son of Eddie Warner Sr. and Albertha Washington.
He was employed by Concordia Parish School Board as a custodian.
Mr. Warner also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Sammie Jackson Warner; three sons, Marvin Warner, Frank Warner Jr. and wife, Tammy, and Raymond Warner; one daughter, Cynthia Johnson, all of Vidalia; three sisters, his twin, Frances Wagner and Johnnie Mae Lyons and husband, Ernest, all of Vidalia; two brothers-in-law, Lincoln Bell of Palmdale, Calif., and George Bell of Ayer, Mass.; five sisters-in-law, Rosa Lee Warner, Johnnie Bell Clay, Linda Sue Dixon, all of Vidalia, Margaret Williams of Los Angeles and Mary Sykes of Shreveport, La.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a number of other relatives and friends.
