NATCHEZ — Performing arts highlight the weekend as Ballet Magnificat will be in town and volunteers at Natchez Little Theatre will present “Moonlight and Magnolias.”
The weekend weather forecast calls for cloudy skies with a chance for thunderstorms. Highs will range from 82 Friday to 87 Sunday, with lows ranging from 72-73.

The group is a Jackson-based professional Christian ballet company that performs around the world.
The performance is set for 7 p.m. Friday at the Natchez City Auditorium.
Proceeds for the performance will benefit the Guardian Shelter, which provides services for victims of domestic violence.

“Moonlight and Magnolias”

The play is set in 1939 as Hollywood producer David O. Selznick has shut down the screen adaptation of “Gone with the Wind,” as the screenplay just does not work. Selznick sends for a director and writer and the three lock themselves up in his office and work to complete the screenplay.
Tickets cost $15. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 2 p.m. matinee performance Sunday. The theater is located at 319 Linton Ave.
