Centreville Academy’s varsity softball game against Cathedral School Monday afternoon was rained out after less than an inning of play.

The Lady Green Wave went three-up, three-down in the top of the first inning. Sydney Lyons got a base hit for the Lady Tigers before, “the rain came down,” Lady Tigers coach Rob Bordelon said.

No decision has been made as to whether the game will be rescheduled.

Centreville (1-0) next plays at 7:15 p.m. Friday at Parklane Academy. Cathedral will look to get its season under way at 5 p.m. today at Franklin Academy.
