FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Janet “Faye” Franklin Thompson, 55, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at her sister’s residence in Lake Charles, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Tim Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral home Inc.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Janet was born May 23, 1961 in Lafayette, the daughter of John Franklin Sr. and Annie Mae Boyd. She was preceded in death by er parents; three brothers, Larry, Robert and Zan Franklin; and one sister, Lisa M. Sheppard.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Thompson; three children, Michael Franklin, Wendell Terry Brown and his wife, Kyara, Shanta Crumpton and her husband, Demond Sr., all of Ferriday; nine brothers, Jim Johnson of New Orleans, Johnny Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Warren Neil, Anthony Franklin all of Ferriday, James Franklin, John Franklin, Jr. of Jonesville, Michael Castle and his wife, Janet, of Morrow; Rayfield Franklin of Houston; four sisters, Mable Jackson of Lake Charles, Mary Franklin of St. Joseph, Helen Baker and her husband, Darrow of Ferriday and Judy Johnson of Houston; a godchild, Gloria Banks; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
