Ballots for Nov. 8 parish elections set

VIDALIA — Of the four local elections on the ballot in Concordia Parish this fall, one position — a Ridgecrest aldermen candidate — will be elected without opposition.
Connie Adair will be elected without an opponent to fill the vacant seat on the Ridgecrest board of aldermen Nov. 8.
Of the other local races on the ballot, those who qualified include:
4For Vidalia municipal judge, Independent Stuart Boykin and Republican Scott McLemore.
4For the Vidalia municipal court’s city marshal, independents Jim Boren and Bruce Wiley and Democrat Frank Duson.
4For justice of the peace in District 1, Democrats Elijah “Stepper” Banks and Justin Conner and Republican Benja Fussell.
Other races on the ballot will include justices for the Third Circuit Court of Appeal in divisions B and C; associate justice to the Louisiana supreme court for the fourth district; the U.S. Fifth Congressional District, U.S. Senate and U.S. President.
