NATCHEZ — Services for Leandrew “Lee-Putch” Barnes, 61, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.  

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m.

Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Barnes was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Charlie Rounds and Dorothy Whittley.

He was a high school graduate and was self-employed.

Leandrew enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, James Whittley; two brothers, Edward Whittley and Delander Whittley; and his grandmothers, Grace Ann Wells and Sarah Rounds.

Survivors include his mother; three sons, Tyrone Johnson, Jerome Galmore and Travis Miles; one daughter, Shoniqa Dotie; one brother, David Whittley and wife, Debra; one sister, Ardra W. Shillow and husband, Moses; and other relatives and friends.
