NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Allen A. Kennon, 68, of Natchez, who died Thursday July 14, 2016 in Alexandria, will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou in Ferriday, with the Rev. Gary Howington, the Rev. Jeremy Howington and Anthony Kennon officiating.

Burial will follow at Jersey Settlers Cemetery in Kingston, under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service, both at the church.

Mr. Kennon was born Dec. 3, 1947 in Oak Grove, the son of Cleveland Jesse Kennon and Katie Jeanette Clark Kennon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Katherine Kennon, sister, Lula Parker, brother, Jerry Kennon, father in law, James Hux, and brother in law, Peyton Rice.

Survivors include his wife, Polly H. Kennon; one son, Ashton Kennon and wife, Jamie, all of Natchez; one daughter, Lori Warnock and husband, Mickey, of Madison; four grandchildren, Noah, Makenzie, Matt, and Sarah; two brothers, Nathan Kennon and his wife, Cathy, of Vidalia and David Kennon and wife, Geral, of DeQuincy, LA; mother-in-law, Mamie Hux of Natchez; two brothers-in-law, Sherod Hux of Vidalia and Buck Parker of Jonesville; one sister-in-law, Cammie Rice of Natchez; two special nieces, Brooke and Brittany Hux; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joel Kennon, A. J. Johnson, Donnie Byrnes, Bill Sargent, Hunter Hinson, and Curtis Cirilo.
