FERRIDAY — Services for Pamela Jean Cox, 60, who died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in Natchez, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.
Burial will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cox was born July 19, 1955, in Jonesville, the daughter of William James Cox and Georgia Paralee Morace.
She loved her family and will be tremendously missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her love for Louisiana State University football and her greatest loves, Clark, Cory, Cole and Alivia. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge and called the bingo games.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jerrol Cox, Tommy Joe Cox and Perry Cox; one sister, Mary Ellen Cox Jenkins; one niece, Kalin Preslee Wadlington; one nephew, Jamie Poole; and one great-nephew, Mason Bryant.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Clark Burkett; two sisters, Alma Poole and husband, Eddie, and Jennifer Wadlington and husband, Kevin; four nieces, Misty Waltman and husband, Eddie, Jan Bryant and husband, Don, Katie Krugar and Alivia Wadlington; five nephews, Lance Jenkins, Pat Poole and wife, Brandy, Michael Cox and Cory and Cole Wadlington; 10 great-nephews; and four great-nieces.
Pallbearers will be Cory and Cole Wadlington, Ricky Bateman, Daryl Morace, Layton Poole and Joel Greer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Poole, Kevin Wadlington, Jeff Ferguson, Mike Bumgardner and Robert Warren.
