NATCHEZ — Services for James “Ricky” O’Neal, 54, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bright Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Silas Devine officiating. 

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. O’Neal was born May 25, 1960, in Natchez, the son of Henry Barnes Sr. and Alfred and Bernice O’Neal Holt.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Hester Givens Howard; grandparents, Van and Ernestine O’Neal; one sister, Cortina Holt Lassiter; and one brother, Daniel Holt.

Survivors include his biological father, Henry Barnes Sr.; six sisters, Traci Griffin and husband, Kenneth, Erica Holt and companion, Kwesia, Shalonda Holt and companion, Dennis, Lisa Barnes and companion Roy, Andrea Williams and husband, Raymond, and Taffany Jackson; nine brothers, Alfred Holt Jr. and wife, Lasandra, Vashion Grinnell, Ronnie Barnes and wife, Sharetha, Henry Barnes Jr. and wife, Bernadette, Aaron Hill and wife, Tanya, Robert Banks and wife, Ester, Darry Jones and wife, Rita, Stanley Jackson and wife, Tammy, and Roosevelt Jackson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
