NATCHEZ — A pair of siblings were arrested Friday on charges they robbed a man last month on Smith Street.
Travis J. Johnson, 28, and Porcha N. Johnson, 26, were arrested Friday and charged with armed robbery. Natchez Police Chief Daniel White said the two are brother and sister.
Porcha Johnson allegedly approached a house on Smith Street at 8 a.m. on May 18 and asked the man who lived there for a cigarette.
The alleged victim, who knew Porcha, left the door open as he went to retrieve a cigarette.
At this time Porcha, her brother and another man entered the residence, White said. The third man allegedly pointed a gun at the resident and told him to lie on the kitchen floor.
The alleged victim told police the Johnsons and the other man stole $600 in cash and a watch valued at approximately $100. He identified all three people by name.
The alleged victim reported the incident to the police on June 10. He told police he waited to report the crime because he was afraid for his life.
The Johnsons were located and arrested at their residence at 10 Lincoln St. Friday morning.
White said the other man is still at large, but a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
