WOODVILLE — Services for Dr. Edwin L. Holt Jr., 45, of Ridgeland, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Woodville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Woodville with the Rev. Kevin Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Holt was born March 24, 1971, the son of Edwin Love Holt and Janet Treppendahl Holt.

He was a 1989 graduate of Wilkinson County Christian Academy, a 1993 graduate of the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and a 1997 graduate of the Louisiana State University Dental School in New Orleans.

He was a dentist.

He was also a wonderful father, son and brother. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Love Holt, who died in 2002.

Survivors include his mother; three sons, Coleman Lee Holt, Samuel Caruthers Holt and Caleb Cruze Holt; two sisters, Ruthie Love Holt and Sidney Alane Holt; and two sisters, Ginger Holt Gober and Lisa Cantrell Holt.

Pallbearers will be Guy Hedrick, Keith Smith, David Sumrall, Barnett Serio, Ken Bailey, Mike Upton, D.D. Sumrall and Joshua Stretch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim McArthur, Wettlin Treppendahl III, Rob Bruton, Trepp Bruton and Bill Gault.
