NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Velma Mae Christian Estes, 88, who died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, will be 1 p.m. today at the Natchez City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Estes was born Feb. 16, 1928.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman C. Estes; one granddaughter, Irene Henderson Hiland; one son-in-law, Wayne Henderson; and one sister, Ruby Beard.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Estes Henderson Lawson of Rye, Texas; son-in-law, Richard Lawson; one granddaughter, Laura Henderson Kelley; and four great-grandchildren, Cohen and Kensi Kelley and Lane and Luke Hiland.
