MIDLAND, Texas — Services for Charles Sidney Woolfolk, 76, of Midland, Texas, who died Saturday, May 14, 2016, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Church of God in Midland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland.
Mr. Woolfolk was born April 9, 1940, in Boyle, the son of Sidney David and Crystal Vaught Woolfolk.
He was a faithful member of Midland Church of God.
Charles served in the U.S. National Guard for six years. He married his first wife, Roma Delaine Woolfolk, June 5, 1961, and was married until her death on Nov. 29, 2006. He married Patricia June Woolfolk Feb. 15, 2008.
Charles loved to tell stories about his childhood and would often tell tall tales to his children and grandchildren. He loved to sit on the porch and read. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
Charles was an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years; his parents; and three sisters, Clarice Harrison, Wanda “Nell” Cabral and Lois Reven.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia June Woolfolk of Comanche, Texas; two sons, Charles Vondell Woolfolk and wife, Lynda, of Comanche and John Lance Woolfolk of Midland; one daughter, Treva Delaine Snelson and husband, Mark, of Whitney, Texas; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 21 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Snelson and Kellen Woolfolk and nephews, David Cabral, Randy Cabral, Jayme Tedder and David Yates.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
