BROOKHAVEN — Services for Gena Allen Boyte, 89, of Brookhaven, who died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Temple United Pentecostal Church on Mississippi 84 East in Brookhaven.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Boyte was born Oct. 14, 1926, in McCall Creek, the daughter of Edward and Glossie Wilson Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert Ray “Bill” Boyte; three brothers, Ray Allen, Earl Allen and Billy Allen; and three sisters, Pauline Chance, Linda Myers and Sue Smith.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Smith and husband, Bob, of Brookhaven; one son, Ronald Boyte of OshKosh, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Darlene Boyte of Alexandria, La.; four grandchildren, Tammy Smith Fuller and Philip Smith, of Brookhaven, Corey Boyte of Columbus, Ohio, and Seth Boyte of Appleton,Wis.; four great-grandchildren, Danica, Emileigh and Adrianna Fuller and Miranda Smith, all of Brookhaven; one brother, Jimmie Allen of Natchez; and two sisters, Shirley Fulgham of Georgetown and Elizabeth “Lib” Lee of Natchez.
