Come to Master Gardeners spring plant sale
Published 12:17 am Tuesday, April 19, 2016
Join the Adams County Master Gardeners Saturday, April 23 at their spring plant sale at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, 11 Co-Lin Circle.
Each year the Master Gardeners gather all their favorite plants and offer them to the public for great prices. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Master Gardeners’ year round work beautifying and educating our community.
You’ll find begonias, confederate roses, angel trumpets, bromeliads, succulents, annuals, perennials, orchids, herbs, cactus, sweet potato vines, lemon grass and more! Plus workshops and garden art.
This sale is a great way to start a garden or add to your existing garden for pennies. The plants come in all sizes and range from a few dollars to $5 or more. The master gardeners are very knowledgeable and helpful and are willing to share planting tips. Many plants are marked with botanical names and pictures (so you’ll know what color your flowers will be when they bloom.)
Free demonstrations and workshops by Adams County and State Master Gardeners include proper planting at 9 a.m.; sharpening garden tools at 10 am; concrete leaf casting at 11 a.m.; and composting at noon.
The sale will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Co-Lin greenhouse. Go south on U.S. 61 past Stine, then right on John Pitchford Parkway across from Town and Country Hardware, then about 1 mile to Co-Lin.
Come out for a fun day among beautiful plants and friendly people. Support the Master Gardeners and beautify your environment!
The Master Gardeners are a local volunteer group affiliated with the Adams County office of the Mississippi State University Extension Service.
