WATERPROOF — Services for Virginia Barece, 91, of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Everett Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at Helena Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. Barece was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Waterproof, the daughter of Daniel and Molly Bush Barece.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include five sons, Dan Raymo and wife, Johnnie, and Ernest Barece, all of Waterproof, Chuck Barece and wife, Thelma, and Michael Barece, all of Natchez, and Leon Barece of Marietta, Ga.; two daughters, Carolyn Raymo James and husband, Boise, and Wanda Webb and husband, Willie, all of Waterproof; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives and friends.
