NATCHEZ — Services for Levi “Scoby” Hutchins, 63, of Roxie, who died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. James Washington officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Hutchins was born Aug. 7, 1952, in Natchez, the son of Jerry Hutchins Sr. and Sylvia Washington Hutchins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, the Rev. Thomas Hutchins and the Rev. Cleveland Hutchins.
Survivors include three sons, LeAnthony Hutchins and wife, Serena, Evan Hutchins and Reginald Hutchins; one grandson, Tavarrius Hutchins; four sisters, Jealina Hutchins Cooper and husband, Amos, Anniece Hutchins Stampley and husband, Richard, Bernadine Hutchins Thomas and husband, Richard, and Sylvia Ann Hutchins Banks and husband, Renard Banks Sr.; five brothers, Willie Hutchins and wife, Diane, Jerry Hutchins Jr. and wife, Mary, Thad Hutchins and wife, Doris, Elbert Hutchins and wife, Bennie, and Glaze Hutchins and wife, Erma “Teen”; two honorary brothers, Joey Hutchins and Larry Hutchins and wife, Linda; one uncle, the Rev. Samuel Washington; a special nephew, Renard Banks Jr.; his former wife, Arline Hutchins; two special friends, Chiquita Blakes and Leedale Maxie; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
