FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Jimmy Dale Tiser, 62, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Tiser was born April 28, 1953, in Baton Rouge, the son of Oscar Lee Tiser and Esther Champlin Smith.

He was an offshore boat captain.

Mr. Tiser was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Barbara Lee Beauvais and Mary Nancy Tiser; and one nephew, Wayne Griffin.

Survivors include one brother, Wilfred R. Tiser and wife, Dianne, of Venice, La.; one sister, Donna Kunkle and husband, David, of Natchez; two nieces, Becky L. Griffin and Brandy L. Tiser; 10 nephews, James L. Reed, Newton Beauvais IV, Wilfred R. Tiser Jr., Joshua P. Tiser Sr. and wife, Amy, George D. Ashley and companion, Emily, Matthew J. Ashley and wife, Angela, Eric S. LaPrairie, Jeremy J. Tiser, Christopher T. LaPrairie and Dean Vance; and 10 great-nieces and nephews, Marianne Baqzovic, Colby Tiser, Joshua Tiser Jr., Makenzie Thurmond, Savannah Tiser, Rihanna Thurmond, Cody Griffin, Dylan Griffin, Logan Griffin and AdáLynn LaPrairie.
