Leonard Lester Stockett

CENTREVILLE — Services for Leonard Lester Stockett, 66, who died Friday, March 11, 2016, at his Woodville home. Will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Newman Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with the Revs. Warren Whitaker and Warren Whitaker II officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday, also at the funeral home.

Mr. Stockett was born August 18,1949, in Centreville,, the son of Leonard Barber Stockett Jr. and Mildred Marie White Stockett. After graduation from Woodville Attendance Center in 1967, he attended SWMJC.

Mr. Stockett farmed in Wilkinson County until his retirement in August. He Attended Fort Adams Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Beckham Stockett; Daughter Carrie Rebecca Stockett of Woodville; Step-daughter Leslie Leon and husband Chris of Madison; two grandchildren Cameron and Grayson of Madison; three uncles, Jimmy Falkenheiner of Woodville; Bill White and wife Jane of Tacoma, Wash., and Harold White of Kingston; and  numerous cousins.

Pallbearers will be Louis Flaccomio, Gene Nunnery, D.D Sumrall, Boyd White, Dempsey White, Charlie Randall, Charles Giles and Mitchell Whitaker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Tansey Island Hunting Club.
