FERRIDAY — Services for Donald “Donnie” Bruno Davis, 64, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Peter J. Kuligowsai officiating.

Burial will be at a later date at White Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born June 8, 1951, in Colorado Springs, Colo., the son of Donald B. Davis and Katherine Smith Davis.

He was a heavy equipment mechanic and was retired from Shell Oil Offshore. His hobbies included raising cows and horses, baling hay and collecting guns.

Donnie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Catahoula Cur dogs, good food, western books and films.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Angie Tumminello Davis; and two brothers, Sam Davis and Glenn Davis.

Survivors include one daughter, Cassie Strickland of Natchez; one grandson, Cody Strickland of Baton Rouge; one brother, Tom Davis and wife, Kris, of Monterey; two sisters, Sylvia Bunch and husband, James, of Lake St. John and Sandra Qadan of Natchez; two nieces, Melissa Hinson of Madison and Regina Qadan of Brandon; one nephew, Sammy Qadan of Natchez; one great-nephew, William Hinson; and one great-niece, Maddi Hinson.

Pallbearers will be Butch Cross, Tom Davis, Justin Harville, Tommy Lowry, Sammy Qadan and Cody Strickland.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Tyson.
