NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Mrs. Alvin Louise Quinn Howard, 74, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. today at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Mrs. Howard was born June 3, 1941, in Adams County, the daughter of Cicero P. Quinn Sr. and Geneva Isaac Quinn. She was a member of the Minister’s Spouses’ Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Leon Howard III; four brothers, George Quinn, Joseph Quinn, Elijah Quinn and Cicero Quinn Jr.; and one sister, Margree Williams.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Leon Howard Sr.; two sons Leon Howard Jr. and wife, Carol, of Natchez, and Gregory Howard and wife, Carolyn, of Houston; two daughters, Debra Washington and Brenda Howard, both of Natchez; eight grandchildren, Tonya Quinn and husband, Michael, Melcrikia Wesco, Farrell Smoot, Çhriscella Clay, Leronika Miller, Rhondraneika Shaw, Carneidra and Zan Howard; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary L. Fitzgerald and Della Quinn; three brothers, the Rev. John Quinn and wife, Clara, Henry Quinn and wife, Audrey, and Sampson Quinn; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
