NATCHEZ — Services for Elmo Turner Jr., 75, of Detroit, who died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at University of Michigan Health System, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez with the Rev. David Green officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Doloroso under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner was born Dec. 21, 1940, in Natchez, the son of the Rev. Elmo Turner Sr. and Malinda Robinson Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Samuel Turner and Leroy Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Turner; three daughters, Carlotta Reed and husband, Shane, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Yvonne Turner of Detroit and Malinda Turner of Seattle; one son, Elmo Turner III of Detroit; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Nynie Williams of Memphis, Tenn., Lee Pearl Batieste and husband, Rayford, of Natchez and Sarah Mitchell and husband, Albert, of Garland, Texas; one sister-in-law, Mary Louise Turner of Detroit; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
