NATCHEZ — Services for Ray E. Mason, 78, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Ellis officiating.

Burial will follow at Paul Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.

Mr. Mason was born Dec. 5, 1932, in Monticello, the son of Ed and Blanche Mason. He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchez and proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ben, Bobby and Gene Mason; and one sister, Nola Ferguson.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Carla Mason; three daughters, Sara Wedding of Raymond, Regina Mason of Biloxi and Sandra Mason of Gulfport; three brothers, Dennis Mason and Joy Lee Mason, both of Sontag, and Buster Mason of Indiana; and one sister, Ann Bankston of Vicksburg.
