FERRIDAY — Services for Margaret Short, 75, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denny Braswell officiating.

Burial will follow at Eva Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Eva, La., under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Short was born May 12, 1935, in Ferriday, the daughter of David A. and Rosalie J. Goodger. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Short was Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Short; four sons, Harold Short Jr. and wife, Sonya, of Evansville, Ind., Donnie Darrell Short of Vidalia, William Short and wife, Randi, of Ferriday and John Short of Georgia; three daughters, Tammy Albright and husband, Tony, of Kennedy, Texas, Polly Ann Crum and husband, Jimmy, and Sherry Brown and husband, Glen, all of Ferriday; one brother, James Goodger of Corpus Christi, Texas; four sisters, Helen Capps of Pineville, La., Pearl Teagent of Ferriday, Rachel Goodger of Clayton and Martha Ann Smith of Monterey; 18 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Short Sr., Donnie Short Jr., Joshua Short, Cedric Short, Robbie Irwin, Max Peters and Roy Skipper.
