Vidalia man caught with meth pipe, gun

VIDALIA — Concordia Parish Sheriff’s deputies managed to nab the proverbial two criminals with one stone Wednesday.
While serving an arrest warrant on another resident, deputies reportedly found a parolee in possession of a handgun, a methamphetamine pipe and marijuana, said Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Vernon Stevens,
Eugene E. Delaune III, 25, 222 Ron Road, Vidalia, was charged with illegal carrying of weapons, possession of drug paraphernalia, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying weapons, possession of schedule I drugs with intent and possession of schedule II drugs.
He remained in custody Thursday afternoon on a $67,000 bond.
Deputies were on Levens Addition Road to serve a warrant from the Tensas Parish Sheriff’s Office.
