NATCHEZ — Services for Qujette McLemore Wilson, 85, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in Natchez, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Natchez with Dr. Roy Tidwell and the Rev. Wayne Spencer officiating.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. at High Hill Cemetery in Leake County under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Wilson was born May 7, 1925, in Leake County, the daughter of Andrew Jack McLemore and Audrey Mae Hinson. She was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilson was a retired merchandising director with Bert Fife, Inc., and was also was employed by A&P Grocery for 33 years. Her favorite pastime included spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends, reading, sewing, needlepoint and most of all traveling and volunteering her time at Natchez Community Hospital for more than 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Wilson; her parents; one brother, Andrew Jack McLemore Jr.; and one sister, Helen McLemore Cooper.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Wilson Wallace and husband, E.M. “Wally”; one grandson, E.M. “Marc” Wallace and wife, Jessie McCann Wallace; two great-grandchildren, Blake Martin Wallace and Kayla Nichole Wallace; one sister, Joyce Killens of Carthage; one brother, Herman McLemore of Hazlehurst; one sister-in-law, Addie McLemore; two brothers-in-law, Charles Wilson of Ferriday and Joe Cooper of Philadelphia.
Pallbearers will be Steven Hillman, Michael Hillman, Jeff Hillman, Greg Hillman, Robbie Scrivner, Nathaniel Webb, Wayne Webb and Dale McLemore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley McLemore, Greg Brown and DeWayne Webb.
