NATCHEZ — Services for Jannie Marie Holmes, 59, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Hoggatt Jr., her father, Arthur Griffin; grandmother, Jannie Proby; three sisters, Lynn Griffin, Judy Griffin and Della Strickland; and one cousin, Earl Pullins.

Survivors include three children, Jeff Holmes III and wife, Brizzina, Izear Catrell and wife, Tammy, and Jarthur Holmes Sr. and wife, LaWanda, all of Natchez; her mother, Margurette Thomas; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mable Womack and husband, Norman, Tiffany Nash and husband, Carlos, all of New Orleans, Brenda Shaw and husband, Carlos, of Natchez and Paula Newton and husband, Ray, of Gulfport; six brothers, Arthur Griffin Jr. and wife, Van, Thaddus Griffin, Glen Thomas, Steven Griffin, Ernest Griffin and wife, Burdette, and Frank Pullins, all of New Orleans; three godchildren, Jill Mason, Kendricka Armstead and Jessica Owens; special friends, Jeff and Bobbie Holmes; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
